Farmers, hunters, and property managers face a costly dilemma when spreading materials like lime, fertilizer, and salt: inaccurate distribution, which wastes expensive products and can damage surrounding vegetation. Traditional broadcast spreaders can spread materials beyond their intended area, leading to overspray into unwanted areas. This results in compromised results, along with wasted product and potential damage to adjacent landscapes.

GroundBuster’s drop spreader lineup ranges from compact ATV-towable models to commercial-grade, 1-ton spreaders with dual-auger systems.
The ground-driven spreaders use a combination of gravity and mechanical agitation to deliver precise material distribution through evenly-spaced holes.
What sets GroundBuster apart is its
- all-metal welded construction
- innovative dual-auger system (found in deluxe models) which prevents material bridging—a common problem with bulk agricultural lime
- user-serviceable components allowing for easy maintenance
- adaptable hitching options, allowing for versatile use with different vehicle types, from ATVs to full-sized tractors
- Every GroundBuster is made in the USA, and built with welded, powder-coated steel for lifelong structural integrity and moisture resistance. While all-welded construction may cost more initially than models with bolted/riveted construction, it is more economical over the product’s lifetime.
“We started with a half-ton spreader— the GroundBuster DS5000DX model. Then there was demand from customers who wanted a more cost-effective and compact model for smaller applications. Something a hunter could tow behind a ATV or a four wheeler, for instance, and use for fertilizing a food plot. So we created two smaller models, the DS5000 and the DS4000, which sell for a lower price-point.”

GroundBuster drop spreaders deliver lifetime durability while eliminating wasted materials through precise distribution. Users achieve exact application rates per acre, particularly valuable for expensive products like fertilizer and ice melt.
The spreaders’ accurate edge placement and targeted distribution prevent product waste in non-target areas like flower beds and woodlands.
With proper maintenance and cleaning, customers gain decades of reliable service from an American-made machine that maintains its accuracy and performance year after year.
Specifically, the GroundBuster’s welded joints eliminate the gaps and seams that occur with bolted/riveted connections, preventing moisture from seeping in and causing internal rust and corrosion. This is a critical factor for equipment exposed to lime, fertilizer, and outdoor conditions.
Similarly, our high-quality, all-welded construction means there are no bolted or riveted connections that can gradually loosen from vibration and repeated use, since properly executed welds maintain their integrity indefinitely. This eliminates maintenance issues like re-tightening fasteners and replacing worn bolt holes.
